Morning Act of Worship
by Janie Buck
|
|
I believe in the Name of the Son of God, therefoe I am in Him and He is in me. In Him all fullness dwells. There is no difficulity inward or outward that He is not ready to meet for me today. I believe I have not received the spirit of fear but of love and power and a sound mind. The Lord is my Keeper.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
By Thy grace, Father, I will be as strong in my public life as I am in my personal worship. Therefore grant that I will seek You every morning and walk in the Spirit through out the day. |
Boldness & Confidence

Boldness and confident access to the Father is received through faith in the Lord Jesus. He died for all our sins, and "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgve us our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousnes" (I John 1:9). This must be done every day as soon as we are aware that we "blew it". Then we are ready to pray.
Father will not be surprised when we admit our sins or say,"you knew better than that!" He will forgive us and cleanse our heart and soul.
"If we say that we have not sinned we make Him a liar and His word is not in us" (I John 1:10). So don't blame anyone. Sure there are people who irritate and aggravate us, but our reaction and bad temper is our fault. Reaction sins are as bad as those that originate in our own heart. We must put away the blame game and confess our own sins, not other peoples' sins. Then ask the Lord to bless those who aggravate and irritate you. They need the Lord as much as you and I do.
After you have confessed, pray again asking Father to fill you with the Holy Spirit. We don't have the ability to "be good" on our own. That is why the Holy Spirit was sent - He is the Helper who helps us live life to please our Father. Then remember the command, "Walk in the Spirit." That is depend upon Him to help you in everything that concerns your life and family and friends. |
Praying Ephesians 3:14-21

Father, according to Your riches in glory, please grant me strength with the power of the Holy Spirit in my inner being so that Christ will dwell in my heart through faith.
I ask that I will be rooted and grounded in love and have strength to comprehend with all Christians what is the breath and length and height and depth of Your love, and experience the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge.
I ask You to fill me with all the fullness of God.
Father, You are able to do far more abundantly than all I ask or think by You power that works within me.
To You be glory in my life since I am a part of the church which is the body of Christ. I need You every minute of the day. And by faith I know You are with me and will never leave me.
Grant this to be true in my family, and all believers, through out all generations forever and ever. Amen. |
Praying Psalm 66:1

My soul waits in silence for God only. From Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my stronghold. I shall not be greatly shaken.
I am as related to You, Lord Jesus, as a branch on a vine. Or to put it in terms I'm more familiar with, as a limb on a tree. I may feel like a twig on a branch, but I am in You. And You will never leave me or forsake me. Praise!
Lord Jesus my Savior, I praise our Father that you have forgiven my sins, and that You live right here on earth in my heart. I ask that, by Your grace, I will walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lust of my flesh.
You commanded us to "abide in Me", so my prayer is in Your will and purpose for all those who know You as Savior and Lord. You always answer our prayers in the way that is best for us.
You are Lord. I submit myself to You and ask You to fill my life with the Holy Spirit. |
Abide in Me

The Apostle John recorded much of what Jesus taught them the night before He was crucified. In chapter 15 he wrote what Jesus said about Christian living. Jesus likened our relationship to Himself to a vine and believers as branches on the vine. Living in a part of the country where there are few grape vines I think of Jesus' illustration of our relationship to Himself as a branch on a peach tree and myself as a twig. Every spring the peach trees have to be pruned so they will produce bigger and better peaches.
Daily in the Christian's life we need to be "pruned." That is we need to confess our sins to our Father and rely on the fact that Christ Jesus died for all our sins. When we confess them our Father forgives us and cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Then we can pray and know our prayers are heard in heaven - not because we have been good and do the things we should, but the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin.
After confession we may ask our Father to fill us with the Holy Spirit. He came to earth after Jesus went back to heaven and makes the presence of Jesus real to us.
Read chapter 15 of John for Jesus said, "These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full." |
