The Meaning of Easter

To the world it means the perfect plan of salvation has been provided by God the Father.

"I declare to you the gospel...how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scripture; and that He was buried, and that He arose again the third day according to the Scripture" (I Cor. 15:1-40). "But God commented His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom. 5:8).

To God it meant that He is satisfied with the work of His Son.

"Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father (Rom. 6:4). Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification" (Rom. 4:25).

To you it is a challenge to believe and be saved.

"Wherefore He is able also to save the to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them" (Heb. 7:25). "But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name" (John 1:12).

To the believer it is a pledge of immortality.

"But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of them that slept... For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive...And as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly" (I Cor. 15:20,22,49).
